Tracey Frazier Wigglesworth is a founding partner of The Political Law Group. Tracey counsels corporations, nonprofits, labor unions, political parties, candidates and more in California and across the country on the laws and regulations that govern political activity, issue advocacy and government ethics.

Tracey brings 15 years’ experience working for some of the top political law firms in the country and for California’s campaign regulator. With her deep experience in both the public and private sector, she is often called to guide clients through audits, investigations and complex compliance issues.

Tracey regularly helps clients build and manage multi-jurisdictional compliance programs — advising on 50-state political giving, lobbying disclosure and pay-to-play restrictions — and has helped defend clients in administrative enforcement actions brought by state and local regulators across the country.

She also advises political technology startups and established companies looking to enter the political space as they navigate the complicated regulatory landscape to bring their products to market.

Prior to co-founding TPLG, Tracey split her time between Sacramento, Los Angeles and Washington, DC, where she helped build and oversee one of the largest nonfederal campaign finance compliance programs in the country; advised national nonprofit organizations and Fortune 100 corporations as they established vehicles for multi-jurisdictional engagement; represented local and state-wide ballot measure committees, independent expenditure committees, candidates and officeholders; and helped investigate, prosecute, negotiate and close over 1,700 cases involving alleged violations of California’s Political Reform Act.

Tracey holds a J.D. and Certificate in Public Law & Policy from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a B.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
